Cannot delete vm due to InternalDiskManagementError

I was trying to delete a virtual machine and it failed to delete due to a disk error. I cannot detach the disk, nor can I delete the VM.

If i run:

az vm delete --resource-group <group> --name <vmName>--yes --force-deletion none

I get the error:

(InternalDiskManagementError) An unexpected error occurred while processing disk. Please retry later.
Code: InternalDiskManagementError
Message: An unexpected error occurred while processing disk. Please retry later.

I cannot detach the disk, I cannot delete the VM. Please help!
