RDP’ing from the office on-premises to a virtual machine in Azure, we are running into constant disconnects. The Windows logs show a particular disconnect reason code of 2147942464. We have disabled UDP on the RDP connection so only TCP is enabled for the RDP session, as part of trying to help stop the disconnects. We have also turned off the usual settings on the RDP connection settings, as well as the redirects, with no help to the problem.

Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 1

OS Build: 9045.2965

Windows Feature Experience Pack: 1000.19041.1000.0

RDP Settings are set to not allow concurrent RDP user sessions, so the same session should be used on reconnects. Note no other users are connecting to this machine, only this one user, so I don’t believe the error is accurate, and it could just be confusing itself because of the automatic reconnect attempts:User's image

Try disabling "printer redirection" in the RDP client - this helped me fix this issue for one user - they later mentioned local printing issues so i figure they got corruption in a print driver that's causing the RD session to fail and dropout early on.
