Block and Hide WIFI Network

I am trying to block and hide specific SSIDs from my users. I am using "netsh wlan add filter permission=block ssid=”SSID Name” networktype=infrastructure".

This does make it so the user can't connect but it still shows up at the bottom of the Available Networks list with an X on the icon.

How do I make it so it doesn't show up at all?

Thanks

Eric

    Hi,@Eric Stein

    It seems that the netsh command you are using only blocks the connection to the SSID, but does not hide it from the list of available networks. To hide the SSID completely, you may need to use a different method depending on your wireless router or access point.

    Here are the steps to hide a specific wireless network name;

    1. Access your router's settings.
    2. Change the wireless network name (SSID) to something else.
    3. Enable the "Hide SSID" option in your router's settings. This will make the network name invisible to others.
    4. Save the changes.

    Please note that you need a privileged account or an administrator account to set it up。

    Hope the information is helpful.
