Administrative Access to Fortigate VM Azure

Hello Team,
Is that possible to access the Fortigate GUI via one of the private ip configured on its interfaces?
I have read the deployment guide from Microsoft, but there they mention the HTTP only by the Public IP.
We need to share the access to GUI by local traffic in the Azure network.

Technically, it should be possible.
- Are you facing any errors when you try to do so from a VM in same VNet?
- Try accessing via https://<PrivateIPofVM>

Even on the same VNET we can't access the Fortigate from another VM. In the Fortigate side, all rules to allow the communication is configured.
Should I need to configure anything in the Azure side to permit the traffic?
Actually, this is what we are looking for:
We need to allow management access to Azure Fortigate from an on-premise network by its private ip. The on prem network is connected to Azure by Express Route.

Generally, for a normal VM, if you are able to access it via it's Public IP, then you should be able to access it via Private IP as well.
Since this is a custom OS , I am not sure if there are any OS level blocking/requirement to use a Public IP.
- Can you confirm if you are able to access this by it's Public IP?
If the above works, and the same interface's private IP does not work,
This would require a deeper investigation.
