What is wrong with MS Word Read Aloud feature since last update?

Since the most recent update on 11 July, the Read Aloud feature in MS Word hasn't worked as it should. Each time I click the icon, it gives me an error prompt telling me that I need to sign in. Regardless of how I clear the prompt, the only voice options are the old robotic ones - the natural reading voices are gone.

I've tried signing out/signing in, checking for additional updates, etc. but none of my troubleshooting seems to be working. This is a really useful feature for a lot of people, so hoping this issue is resolved soon!!
