Cannot remove app from Teams

I have an app attached to a tab on a Teams team that I cannot remove. It was installed directly from the add-ins store in Teams, and the app has been removed, but the tab is still there and when I go to select "remove" it presents an empty dialog box without any details. I'd really like the tab to go away. Any help?

I have a related issue, I added the weather app from the Teams store but found it too intrusive in my chat window so uninstalled it through teams and, although the app no longer shows up in my "Manage Apps" windows, the App remains active in my Team chat window. The uninstall seemed to work properly, no errors yet it remains in my chat window. What's the fix?

When you click the tab, is any content displayed?

Does any error message popup?

You could confirm with your team owner whether you have the permission to remove tabs.

Thanks for the question. You'll see from these two screenshots that there is no information either in the tab or in the dialog box that comes up when I choose to remove tab. The app has already been deleted, the tab is just a zombie. I am the team owner and have all permissions enabled.

You could try clearing the cache of Microsoft Teams:

Thanks, I cleared the cache and the same issue still happens. Also, the tab shows up on the web interface without any content in the tab or the remove dialog box, either.

Perhaps, you could try to re-add this app in your team and then remove the tab.

Hi, sorry, we had a major event that has been taking my attention away from this. No, re-adding and removing the app did not work. Polly added a new tab for the re-installed app and when I tried to remove the old tab, it still did not have any content in the dialog box or the tab itself. Then, I re-removed the app and it only removed the new tab, not this zombie tab I've been dealing with overall.

@Leon Laude , I am encountering the same issue documented on this thread (i.e., there is a custom Teams App on my teams side bar which cannot be uninstalled: when right-clicking on it, the "Uninstall" option is not visible, even though this option IS available for other apps). Earlier in this thread, you referenced a resource which is now archived / unavailable: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/contentarchivals/contentarchivedpage/message-uid/308344

If you have any guidance on how the "Uninstall" option can be restored for an app, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
