PC starts on its own

Question

Hello, my pc starts on its own every time it is plugged in a power source. If, for example, i unplug it and then plug it in again, it will immediately start booting up without me pressing the button. The problem is that it always leads to a blue screen forcing me to restart because of a problem while shutting down for no reason.

There's likely a setting within cmos setup that controls the power behavior. Check the mother board manual for details. As to the BSOD this is usually problematic hardware or drivers, the pc manufacturer will be your best resource to troubleshoot problems with your hardware.

This could be caused by a number of things, but one possibility is that your PC's power settings are configured to automatically turn on when power is restored. To check this, you can follow these steps:

1. Press the Windows key + X and select "Power Options".
2. Click on "Choose what the power buttons do" on the left-hand side.
3. Click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
4. Scroll down to "Shutdown settings" and uncheck the box next to "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
5. Click "Save changes".

As for the blue screen problem, it can be caused by a variety of reasons, such as outdated drivers or hardware problems, and to find the exact cause, you need to collect the dump.
