Assistance needed: Sending telemetry data from Windows/Linux VMs to Log Analytics workspace without enabling VM Insights

I am currently seeking assistance in understanding a solution. Specifically, I would like to know how to send telemetry data from Windows/Linux VMs to a Log Analytics workspace using the Azure Monitoring

Agent, without the need to enable VM Insights associated with DCR.

 

In my current scenario, all VMs, both Linux and Windows, send their telemetry data to the Log Analytics workspace by enabling VM Insights associated with DCR. However, I am interested in automating this entire process and having all VMs send their telemetry data using the new Azure Monitor agent associated with DCR.

 

I kindly request your expertise and guidance in this matter. Any assistance or insights you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

When you pen Azure Monitor , go to Virtual MAchines and go to Map

You will get a Pop Up to Onboard
