Can't send ping to name in my local domain via UBUNTU and MAC OS

Question

My domain controller is windows server 2008 r2.

When i'm trying to ping to names in the domain with ubuntu or mac os I doesnt get ping.

When I'm pinging to ip address it works .

With windows os I can ping to names in my domain successfully.

What can be the reason?

Most likely would be DNS. I'd check the problem members use the static ip address of domain controller listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS.
