Hello Microsoft Q&A team,

I would like to know if the Visual Studio Professional application is ISO26262 certified.

I found this link with the Compliance Offerings ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/compliance/regulatory/offering-home ) but it does not include Visual Studio.

Could you help me to answer my inquire or direct me to a Microsoft link were this information is kept.

Thank you!

    Hello @Cesar Palomino ,

I checked the wiki page and it seems to be the 'Road vehicles – Functional safety' standard.

Visual Studio is an application to write applications in various programming languages:

Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft. It is used to develop computer programs including websites, web apps, web services and mobile apps.

I expected this question more on the specific programming languages and underlying compilers and runtimes.

Are you sure Visual Studio (as a host application that connects compilers and code editors) should implement this standard?
