I want to create an Azure Devops repository for a Visual Studio solution i have been working on:

Create a Git Repository

  1. Choose Azure DevOps
  2. Under "Create a new Azure DevOps repository", sign in and choose organization.
  3. Choose the project
  4. Name the repository

Step 3 in the problem for me, because i want to create a new project, not use an existing one. If i create a project first in Azure Devops (with the same name as the Visual Studio solution) and then come to Visual Studio, i get an error: A repository with this name already exists.

How do i save a new project in Azure DevOps from within Visual Studio?

Visual Studio
