Hi All,

I am trying to do an in place upgrade of Windows 2008 r2 to Windows 2012 r2 but it fails and rolls back with the error below

2023-07-15 21:30:43, Error [0x0808fe] MIG Plugin {0b23c863-4410-4153-8733-a60c9b1990fb}: LoadLibraryEx error (D:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\ReplacementManifests\Microsoft-Windows-TextServicesFramework-Migration\IMJPMIG.DLL) gle=126

How can I disable dormant drivers as they might be the cause of my issue as per the link below.

Please do check and advise accordingly.

It may be the 2008 R2 is somehow broken or in an unhealthy state. You can try repairing it, but the much cleaner / safer method would be to stand up the new 2012, patch it fully, migrate the roles over and move on.
