How can I make a transferred classic list into a modern list?

I used powershell to copy a list from an old classic site over into a new modern site. How can I go about making the view for the list modern on the new site instead of having it retain the classic appearance. Is that even possible?

Here are the steps to transferred classic list into a modern list.

1.Go to List->List Settings->Advanced Settings.

2.Set List experience to New expesrience. Click OK.

I looked at the top right options and I don't even see the option for list settings that is typically shown.

The list looks classic even tho the setting is set at new experience.

Hi @Tevon2.0,

You should have at least Edit permissions on list in order to open list settings (or Design/Full Control). Make sure you have enough permissions.

If you have enough permissions but still can't see List Settings, is it possible that other colleagues with the same permissions as you can't see List Settings either.

You can follow this article to get List ID and use List ID to open List Setting page.

I can access the list settings however new user experience is already selected. It just didn't change to modern look.

I tested it on my end. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to reproduce your problem. It seems that your problem is not a common one.

However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, please kindly provide more information below to let us work further.

1.Are other users facing the same problem? View through another computer or account.

2.Whether all Copied SharePoint Lists have the same problem? You could copy a new SharePoint List to check.

3.Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint site collections.

4.You could try to clear browser cache then restart it.

5.Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.
