When submitting an unrecognized address for Azure maps, how long does it take to be added?

Submitted an address that is not recognized in Azure maps, though recognized by other mapping services like Google. How long does it take, typically, to have these added? It is a roadblock for users right now.

It answered the question, but pretty disappointed in the answer when so many addresses that Google has are not in Azure. Make it hard to justify this to Client with that comparison.

Hi Angela,

It is impossible to compare address results with Google. For example if you ask for 15 Main Street and in reality, there is an 11 Main Street and 17 Main Street, Google will give you a "guess" between 11 and 17 but when you are actually routed there, that address might not exist.

If you submit and address through Feedback.AzureMaps.com, it goes directly to Tomtom where they perform validation that it really does exist, which can take only a few days, but if you are sending that "guess" Google address it may never be added to our map because it isn't really there.

So in testing, Google will absolutely "find" far more addresses than Microsoft Azure Maps or Bing Maps will find but they may not be real. For most of our customers, it is important that the address be to a real building or business location, not to a guess.

If the issue is in V1 of the search service, it may take a month or two to be added, if it is confirmed to a valid issue. That said, try the V2 search services. These have access to more data and may already address your issue. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/maps/search-v2
