Hello,

I would like to set up a Active - Passive RDS connection broker high availability with a load balancer instead of Active- Active

Do you have any thoughts on Active passive set up with a load balancer.? Both connection brokers will have its own individual internal databases rather than a common database. Do we need a common DNS name for both connection brokers. RDSWeb role is also installed on the connection broker

     Hello @Server Question

If it is a Windows Server 2016, it does not have a built-in "Active-Passive" mode. In Windows Server 2016, RD Connection Broker HA operates in "Active-Active" mode.

Also refer to  RD Connection Brokers Active/Active mode? (microsoft.com)
