Afaik this should not be the case, if you are able to reliably reproduce this issue, best open a support case and report it. Perhaps try with configuring a new Outlook profile, and set the mailbox in Online mode from the get go?
Outlook in Online (not cache mode) Does not Support Rules?
I have a rather simple question. Is it correct that if I turn of cache mode in Outlook (I am running Outlook as a 365 App against Exchange Online), Outlook rules to not work anymore?
If I try to open Rules and Notifications it says like (it's German) "The requested process cannot be started. An Object was not found"
Once I enable Cache Mode again, everything starts working again? Is there a workaround to get this working with disabled cache mode?
And also, can anyone tell me if rules created while in cache mode, would continue to work, just new ones cannot be created, or will existing ones not even work anymore in Outlook with online mode?
kind regards,
Dieter

My colleague also experienced this problem, that's how we came across it in the first place. However, it's not that important to us now, especially because even in case the problem occurs, that user still can deal with this rules and filters from Outlook Online, the OWA version I mean.
