Export the data from a SharePoint Calendar

From the home page of our Sharepoint site I can click on our Daily Event Calendar. The calendar shows all events for our company that are current, have past and are scheduled for the future. I can scroll all the way back to 2018 and forward to the end of 2023. I need to Export ALL of the events shown on this calendar with all their details into Excel.

I see an option to Export and this creates an .iqy query file but this does not work at all. Opening that query file in excel just creates a table with zero rows.

If I switch the View type to "All Events" I get a list view but it just shows about 56 random events (many of which it says were deleted) from 2018 through 2022. I CAN Export this successfully to Excel using the above procedure but, again, it gets me 56 events from the calendar when there are actually thousands that I can see on screen.

How can I export EVERYTHING I can see on screen in Calendar view?

    Hi @Dom ,

I tested it in my environment but did not encounter your situation.

I can't judge the cause of the problem, but don't worry, let's do some checks to narrow down the problem:

    1. Make sure you have the necessary permissions to export the calendar data. You need to have at least "View Only" permissions on the calendar to export data.
    2. Check if there are any filters or views applied to the calendar that may be limiting the data that is exported. You can try creating a new view with no filters applied and see if that allows you to export all events.
    3. Check if there are any errors or warnings displayed when you try to export the data. If there are, they may provide clues as to what is causing the issue.
    4. Try switching to another account to see if it is related to the account.
    5. Recreate the calendar for testing to see if it is a problem with the current calendar.
    6. Clear the browser cache or try switching browsers to see if it is related to the browser cache and type.
