HI everyone,

Good morning! I am testing a SQL server upgrade. We are running SQL 2014 server and plan to upgrade to SQL 2019 server. I tried to download it from the Microsoft Admin center, and come up with couple questions and hope you can help.

Q1.) How do I know if it is standard version or other versions?

Q2.) In the Admin Center, there are different downloads for per CAL and per CORE. How do I know which "type" of license my current server is running on?

Q3.) Would there be anything modules or features lose after upgrading to 2019? My colleague who was a DBA told me before that the upgrade may lose the reporting module. If so how do I get it back?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Q1.) How do I know if it is standard version or other versions?

    Run the following query:

    SELECT @@VERSION

For the resat: You have licenses mainly on paper, so lookup your license papers.

I checked on my sql server. I got the following. If I do not see "Core" Does it mean I am using per server/CAL license?

    Thank you.
