I am having this same issue.
azure ai studio ERROR message: We couldn't connect your data
We couldn't connect your data
Indexing failed on ii-indexer-chunk. Details: message: Unexpected ingestion error occurred. details: The request body is too large and exceeds the maximum permissible limit.
This used to work without problems, even with less data. For each test i need to reconnect to my data and creta a new index name.
how to solve? what causes this ?
Azure OpenAI Service

Thanks for reaching out to us, may I know which product you are using and how you imported your data? Is that Azure Cognitive Search or Azure OpenAI studio?

2023-07-22T13:18:37.1633333+00:00 we created a blob storage. In there we put the files we want to work with.
After that we go to the azure open ai studio, there we click "add your data' in the chat playground. we then fill in all the details (blobstorage, subscription, resource, storage container, cognitive search index, and we give it an index name. This procedure use to work flawlesly manny times until this week. We are using the same data in our blob as before, the same cognitive search index. I even tried to delete the gpt4 implementation in the studio and create it again, this didn't help. Also tried with gpt 3.5 turbo which has the add your own data feature as well, also there not possible. It just stopped working without any change from our side. When it broke down we tried almost evrything we could think of, nothing works.....always the same error. We were quit happy with how it performed before and just wanted to increase our data , deploy a model and start sharing within our company.

2023-08-22T14:36:37.7966667+00:00 Were you able to figure this out? I am encountering the same issue described here. The index creation process used to work fine until recently, but now I see this error. The files have become smaller in size than they were previously, yet it complains about the request body being too large. Any thoughts?

2023-10-25T11:14:12.7633333+00:00 Hi ,
I am using Azure Cognitive Search or Azure OpenAI studio. I have RBAC enabled on Azure Cognitive Search. When I try to search for Azure congnitive serach indexes using "Azure Openai Studio" from Azure OpenAI studio portal tab "Add your data (preview)" then it gives me an error :
No search indexes found for this resource. Please select a resource with at least one valid index.
PS: I have granted "Search Index Data Contributor" access to Azure Open AI system generated identity, and myself as well. I have done this by doing following steps -
- Go to Azure Cognitive Serach Service
- Go to IAM
- Click on Add Role assignment
- Select "Search Index Data Contributor" and click next
- Select "Managed Identity" of the Azure Openai instance and myuser account.
- Review and assign permission + Assign.
Still problem persists. I need urgent solution.

2024-06-05T08:40:40.8833333+00:00 Hi @superbunny1025 : Invalid dataRefreshIntervalInHours value. Value has to be between 0.2 and 720 or null for one-off ingestion jobs." is resolved post the issue fix yesterday. However, you are facing an issue while using Hybrid search inside of your search index, for this need to crete a vector field manually eveytime when index is build.

2024-06-05T12:57:45.33+00:00 Hi @Niket Kumar Singh : we are using the azure openai potal - chat playground to upload data from azure blob storage. Right now the vector field cannot be automatically created. Multiple users are reporting the same issue, please see this ticket: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1691429/error-message-displayed-in-azure-openai-studios-on Thank you.

2024-06-05T13:08:49.71+00:00 Hi @superbunny1025 creating the vector field manually, we aren't able to see the vectors being generated in the index search explorer if using datat source from local system
Whereas if using data source as blob the vector is getting generated,Checking with MS once got the response will let you know.
