Invalid gallery item when saving ARM template for Virtual VMware SDWAN

When I try to create a ARM tempelate for deploying a Virtual VMwas SDWAN VCE i get a error when saving the template.

Failed to save template.

An invalid GalleryItem object was provided.

Not finding much on google or Microsoft on this. Has anyone ever run into this?

Can you please let me know where you are trying to save the ARM template? Are you storing it in Template Specs? Also, kindly share the steps you have done when you were prompted with an error.

Here are the steps for manually copying templates from the gallery to a new template specs.

Open the Templates (preview) in the portal.

Select the template to migrate.

Select View Template.

Copy the template content.

In the portal search bar, search for Template specs. Select that option.

Select Create template spec.

Provide values for the name, subscription, resource group, location, and version.

Select Next: Edit template.

For the contents of the template, paste the template you copied from the template gallery.

Select Review + Create.

After validation successfully completes, select Create.

If you need to share the template spec with other users in your organization, set role-based access control to the group or users that need access.

Also, for your reference, here is ARM template created by community members for deploying Virtual VMware SDWAN.
