Folders have disappeared from Azure fileshares

Hello,

Can anyone offer any help. I have two file shares mapped as drives with a number of folders in each file share. The file shares are accessible but a number of folders on each share have disappeared while other folders remain intact and are fully accessible.

When I look look at the metrics monitor I can see a sudden drop in 'used capacity' on the 22nd July. Can anyone explain this? No users were working at the time and one of the shares is limited to certain users and I've confirmed none of them were online.

Any thoughts welcome? Many Thanks.

The easiest way to calculate the size of the File share is using Storage Explorer. Using the below steps, you would be able to calculate the Directory level capacity.

    1. Sign-in to azure storage explorer using any of the approaches mentioned here  - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/vs-azure-tools-storage-manage-with-storage-explorer?tabs=wind...
    2. Select the storage of your interest.
    3. Select the File share.
    4. Click the “Directory Statistics” button.
