What's the difference between BYOK (bring-your-own-key) and CMK (customer-managed-key) solutions and why would I migrate from one solution to another?

    Hello @Ano Acco

They are often used interchangeably. BYOK usually means the vendor holds the key, but you create it and upload it. CMK can mean that but also sometimes reflects the case where you hold your key in your own KMS instead, so it tends to encompass more patterns than BYOK does in practice

    Hello @Ano Acco !

A case to think of is regulatory reasons that expects your Org to hold the keys on your own Environment

In reverse migrate to Azure BYOK to enjoy all Azure Services without the need to manage another KMS of your own

    I hope this helps!
