SharePoint Storage is not correct on the tenant as per the subscription

Hello There,

We have 40 teams essentials and couple of Plan 3 licenses in the tenant hence ideally the allocated SPO storage should be around 1.44 TB however the actual storage showing 1.06 TB. When ran the storage diagnostics, it did not find any issue. Here are the license status and then storage calculation from the diag tool

Please help me understand the cause of it.

As per the MS article Teams Essentials gets 10 Gb. The subscription is through CSP.

    Hi @Ajaz Khan ,

Based on your description, there may be some data that is not being properly accounted for in the storage calculation. For example, if there are large files or deleted items that have not been purged, they could be taking up space in the storage allocation.

To investigate further, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the storage usage for each individual site collection in SharePoint to see if there are any large files or deleted items that may be taking up space.
    2. Check the storage usage for other applications or services in your tenant to see if they are using any of the allocated storage.

Microsoft Teams Essentials subscription provides 10 GB storage to Store and share personal files with OneDrive not with SharePoint. However, the storage is listed under the SPO instead of OneDrive in the SharePoint online storage limits article and there is no side notes that it’s for OneDrive not SPO.
