Hi,

I have created default theme colors in Word. When in outlook and I compose a new message I am able to change to these colors for each message.

What I am attempting to do is to set the same default colors in Outlook, but I have been unable to do so. Just wanting to see if anyone is able to assist. Thanks.

I'm glad you figured out the Set as Default button, that's great for minor changes.

Outlook uses the NormalEmail.dotm file in your Office Templates folder to store the formatting defaults for your emails. You can edit that template in Word to set your default fonts, colors and styles for new emails. The NormalEmail.dotm file is stored in C:\Users[YourActualUserName]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates. Close Outlook, open the template in Word using File>Open, edit and save it. Then open Outlook and create a new email to test.

    Hi @Michael Perich

What I am attempting to do is to set the same default colors in Outlook, but I have been unable to do so.

Do you mean to set Outlook and Word theme synchronization?

To set up Outlook and Word theme synchronization, you need to set the Office theme in the Outlook client. Go to File>Office Account >Office Theme.

If it's a theme for setting outlook, go to File>option>Mail>Stationery and Fonts>Theme.

    Hope this helps!

After a few more attempts on looking into this, I believe I have resolved the issue.

I went to NewEmail>FormatText. I then went to change Styles and set the changes I needed. I then clicked Set as Default. This seems to be working.,

There is no online help to do this. The link in Microsoft shows you how to change it, but not set it as default.
