Outlook 365 not closing .MSG file lock when file is closed

Hi guys,

We are on the latest version of Microsoft 365 and we have a lot of emails that have been saved as .MSG files on a file server mapped drive. When we close the .MSG email file it stays open on the file server until Outlook is closed (I can see this in Computer Management on the file server).

Attempting to open them a second time gives an error that they are being used by someone.

This seems to have only just started in the last week.

    Hi @Alex Fogerty ,

    According to my research, this seems to be an issue that started happening recently, and it will be fixed by next scheduled update.

    A potential work around is that you can disable Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office.
