Failed to install microsoft updates

I am encountering problems with installing microsoft updates as they are repeatedly failing to install and showing the error code 0x87D00664. After searching for a solution, I found that this error message in CMTrace error lookup suggests that the "Updates handler job was cancelled".

Can you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

0x87D00664, which when looked up in CMTrace error lookup shows Updates handler job was cancelled which can sometimes be a timeout. Please increase the Maximum Run Time of the windows update to have a try.
