Dear Microsoft Support,

I hope you are doing well. I am currently facing an issue with Microsoft Office when attempting to open a remote file using the "ms-word:ofe|u|https://****" URI scheme. Unfortunately, upon trying to access the file, I receive the following error message: "This action couldn't be performed because Office doesn't recognize the command it was given."

To provide further context, I am working with remote colleagues who share files using the "ms-word:ofe|u|https://****" URI scheme, and it's crucial for me to be able to access these files directly from Microsoft Office applications. However, I encounter this error consistently whenever I try to do so.

It's important to note that when attempting to open the same remote file using other applications, such as LibreOffice, it works flawlessly. This leads me to believe that the issue is specific to Microsoft Office's configuration or compatibility with this particular URI scheme.

I have already checked my internet connection and confirmed that the file URL is valid and accessible. However, the problem persists despite my efforts.

Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue? I would greatly appreciate any instructions or settings adjustments that may be necessary to enable Microsoft Office to recognize and handle the "ms-word:ofe|u|https://****" URI scheme correctly.

If there are any updates or patches available to address this problem, kindly advise on how to obtain and apply them.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your expert assistance in resolving this compatibility issue with Microsoft Office.

Best regards,

Makar Sokarev.
