Exporting a list view which only return 400 items and it is using indexed filters will raise this error "You do not have permission to view the entire list becuase it is larger than the list view threshold enforced by the admin"

We have a list view which contain less than 400 items, the list it self contain 33,000 items

Now we have a list view which have this filtering and sorting based on indexed columns (all the fields Short code + Design Period + FY are indexed):-

User's image

and when we try to export the list view using Excel >> we got this error:-

User's image

although the list view only contain less than 400 items and we can export it to csv. so why we can not export a list view which return less than 400 items and has all its filtering using indexed columns to excel ??

Thanks

    Hi @john john

Thank you for posting in this community.

I tested you question in my side, and I did not reproduce your problem. There may have been some sort of problem with the export process, which defaulted to exporting all the items.

However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, please kindly provide more information below to let us work further.

    1. I would suggest that you recreate a view and add filtering rather than making changes in an existing view. To avoid errors, you can temporarily set the view to be exported as the default view. Retry the export and then see if the problem persists.
    2. Are other users facing the same problem? View through another computer or account.
    3. Whether all SharePoint lists have the same problem? You could create a new SharePoint list to check.
    4. Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint site collections.
    5. You could try to clear browser cache then restart it.
    6. Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.

Thank you for your time and efforts in advance.
