Hi.

Technically it is possible to enter a Windows 7 OEM key on Windows 11 system, but is it a legal thing to do in corporate environment?

enter a Windows 7 OEM key on Windows 11 system

You can try to enter a Win 7 key to install Win 11; but it won't work. Product keys are always bound to the product version.

You can't use it, so no need to worry, it's not simply not possible.

    Hi.

No, it is not legal to use an OEM key from a previous version of Windows, such as Windows 7, on a Windows 11 system. OEM keys are tied to the original hardware they were installed on and cannot be transferred to a new system. Additionally, using an unauthorized key can result in licensing violations and potential legal consequences. It is recommended to use a valid license key for the specific version of Windows being used.

    Best Regards,
