Recently, Quick Access on all of our computers at work have been dumping the user entered links randomly. They will stick for a day or two, then dump again. It always lets you redefine them. Everything about it works fine otherwise, and the base 4 shortcuts are always there. We've tried turning the view off and back on under View/Options, and clearing the file history multiple times. No help.

Each time it dumps the user entries, all of them disappear, including the "recent" items that weren't pinned.

Why is this happening and how do I stop it? Internet searches are useless because most problems seem to be that it stops working and you can't define new links. That is not our problem.

We are on Windows 22H2 19045.3208.

    Hello

It seems that you have already tried some common solutions to fix the issue with Quick Access, such as turning the view off and back on under View/Options, and clearing the file history multiple times. Another possible solution is to reset Quick Access by deleting the data stored in two folders: AutomaticDestinations and CustomDestinations. Here’s how you can do it:

1.Open File Explorer and paste the following folder path into the address bar and hit Enter: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

2.Select all files in that folder and then delete them.

3.Use the same method to delete all files in the following folder: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations

After deleting the data in these two folders, restart your computer and see if it has helped fix the problem.
