    Hello there,

If you have been using an evaluation version of a software development VM from Microsoft, it is generally possible to convert it into a full retail version by purchasing a valid product key. Once you have a valid product key, you can use it to activate the software, removing the evaluation restrictions and unlocking the full functionality of the product.

Here's the general process to convert an evaluation version to a full retail version using a product key:

Obtain a Product Key: Purchase a valid product key for the specific software you are using. For example, if you are using a Windows VM, you would need a Windows product key.

Activation: In the VM's operating system, go to the "Activation" settings (usually found in the "System" or "Update & Security" section). There should be an option to change the product key.

Enter the Product Key: Enter the purchased product key in the provided field and follow any on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.

Activation Status: After successful activation, the operating system or development tool should no longer show it as an evaluation version. Instead, it should be fully activated with all evaluation limitations removed.

Keep in mind that software licensing and activation processes might vary based on the specific product and version you are using. It's always a good idea to refer to the official documentation or support resources provided by Microsoft for accurate and up-to-date instructions.

I used AI provided by ChatGPT to formulate part of this response. I have verified that the information is accurate before sharing it with you.

Hope this resolves your Query !!

    Hello,

No you cannot covert an Evaluation Windows 11 Enterprise to a released product.

While you may be able to enter a product key and activate it afterwards, the evaluation timer still exists and at some point may expire.

Everything may appear normal after installing a new key but there is always the possibility that the evaluation timers may trigger.

The only answer is to reinstall and not use Evaluation media.

    Thanks

    Darrell
