On my iPad (9th Gen), was attempting to reconnect to my Windows VM when I received the following error message:

Your session was disconnected.

The graphics display components in the remote session failed to start up.

Error code: 0x11

This is occurring sporadically, seemingly since the version 10.5.0 update. Feedback and/or suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Hello

The error message you encountered on your iPad when trying to connect to your Windows VM indicates a problem with the graphics display components during the remote session. Error code 0x11 could point to various potential issues related to graphics initialization or driver problems.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Network Connection: Ensure that your iPad has a stable internet connection, as fluctuations in the network might cause the connection to drop.
    2. Restart the VM: Try restarting your Windows VM to see if it resolves the issue temporarily.
    3. Update Remote Desktop App: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Remote Desktop app installed on your iPad. Check for updates on the App Store.
    4. Check VM Graphics Settings: Verify the graphics settings on your Windows VM. Ensure that the graphics drivers are up to date and that there are no conflicts or errors in the Device Manager.
    5. Lower Graphics Settings: If the VM has high graphics settings, try lowering them to reduce the strain on the remote session.
    6. Adjust Resolution: Adjust the screen resolution in the Remote Desktop app's settings to match your iPad's native resolution.
    7. Clear Cache: Clear the cache in the Remote Desktop app to remove any potential temporary data causing issues.
    8. Reinstall Remote Desktop App: If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Remote Desktop app on your iPad.
