Remove PIN Complexity Requirements

Hi there,

I was downloading Microsoft Teams for a work/school meeting and when setting up, I accidentally gave the app (which seems to be the University) permissions to my computer. This resulted in me being required to change my sign in PIN for my PC. It now has a complexity requirement which I do not want. I have teams on my laptop and was able to set it up without allowing these permissions nor do I need the longer pin on my laptop. Does anyone know how to remove this requirement? I uninstalled teams, removed my work/school account from my PC with no luck. Not sure what else to do. I would rather the University not have access to my PC (I don't know if granting them permission allows that) and I dont need the longer PIN as this is just a desktop PC for home use.

Step1. Open Settings on Windows 10.

Step2. Click on Accounts.

Step3. Click on Sign-in options.

Step4.Turn off the “Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts” toggle switch.

Quick note: You must turn off this feature. Otherwise, the option to remove the PIN will be grayed out.

Step5. Under the “Manage how your sign in to your device” section, select the “Windows Hello PIN” option.

Step6. Click the Remove button to remove the PIN on Windows 10.

Step7. Click the Remove button again.

Step8. Confirm the current password.

Step9. Click the OK button.
