I am trying to install the sccm client on several computers with Windows 7 professional but it is not possible. MEMC autodetects computers but it is not possible to install or distribute the client on them.
Can it happen that it is no longer possible to enroll new Windows 7 because it is deprecated?
Even if it was possible to install the agent, Windows 7 has been unsupported for a long time now. Any particular reason why you can not upgraded to Windows 10\11?
These computers have specific industrial software that controls big old machines, with lot of special features and peculiar operations, or licensing particularities, that means that no transfer/migration option is possible.
Now the client setup log shows this message: Text=ERROR WIN HTTP_TIMEOUT
I think we have now a problem with port communications between the server and the clients.
There is nothing within the ConfigMgr setup that block the install, BUT The client has not be tested within Win 7 in forever. As such it may or may not work for you. Honestly, IMO there is little point install ConfigMgr agent on Win 7. You can't install SU, you are unlikely to install Apps, this leaves you with just inventory. So....
