How do I find the “Sent Items” folder which has disappeared from Outlook 2013?

I’ve recently set up a new GMAIL email address on Outlook (2013) on my PC (windows 10) using IMAP. I’ve also done the same on my iphone and everything worked fine on both devices.

However, a couple of days ago, I’ve noticed the “Sent Items” folder has disappeared from Outlook on my PC.

I can’t find copies of my sent emails anywhere on my PC but they show up on my iphone and on the webmail (gmail server).

I’ve checked my Outlook options:

  1. Launch the Outlook mailbox to begin and hit on "File".
  2. Go to "Options" and click on "Mail" in the left panel.
  3. Check "Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder" to turn it on. Click "OK" to confirm.

I’ve also tried to select an alternate folder for sent email as follows but it didn’t fix the problem.

  1. Launch Outlook's email by clicking "New Email".
  2. Choose "Options" followed by "Save Sent Item" drop-down menu.
  3. Choose "Other folder" and click "New" given in the Select Folder window.
  4. This will set a new folder which will save your sent messages. Click "OK" to confirm.

I have checked the gmail label and Imap settings to show for Imap etc.

Could someone please help me fix the problem?

Thank you

    Hi @Trish White ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Support for Office 2013 ended on April 11, 2023 and there will be no extension and no extended security updates. For your better user experience, it is recommended that you use a newer version of office. For more information, please refer to: End of support for Office 2013.

However, a couple of days ago, I’ve noticed the “Sent Items” folder has disappeared from Outlook on my PC.

Have you done any operations before that?

And can you find the Sent folder in [Gmail]/Sent Mail folder?

If not, considering the influence of some views, please try a command to reset the view settings: win+R> type: outlook /cleanviews.(This command will delete all custom view settings. If you need to keep other view settings, please remember to back up.)

If it's doesn't work, it is suggested that you could try to create a new profile (Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>add) and add the account for testing to check if there are some differences.
