I'm using Win11 Pro, 10.0.22631 Build 22631 on a MS SurfaceBook II. After installing Update Stack Package - (Version 1201.2307.4011.0) yesterday, Quick Access functionality is gone. No quick access list is shown in the navigation pane. That said, the ability to assign a file or folder to Quick Access ostensibly remains, however after assigning files or folders to Quick Access there is no quick access list that appears in the navigation pane. There is no fix available using "Options". I've tried everything solution found searching multiple Windows 11 forums. Only thing not yet tried are Window PowerShell SFC and DISM scans. Please advise.

    Hello there,

If Quick Access functionality is missing after installing the Update Stack Package on Windows 11, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Restart File Explorer: Sometimes, a simple restart of the File Explorer process can fix various issues. To do this, press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" to open the Task Manager, find "File Explorer" under the "Processes" tab, right-click on it, and select "Restart."

Check Quick Access Settings: Verify that the Quick Access feature is enabled in the File Explorer settings:

    Open File Explorer.

Click on "View" in the top menu bar.

Make sure "Show/hide" is checked and that "Quick access" is selected.

Reset File Explorer Options: Resetting File Explorer to default settings might help resolve any configuration-related issues:

    Open File Explorer.

Click on "View" in the top menu bar.

Click on "Options" and then "Change folder and search options."

In the "Folder Options" window, go to the "View" tab.

Click on the "Reset Folders" button.

Click "OK" to apply the changes.

Run SFC and DISM Scans: Running System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) scans can help identify and fix system file issues. Open Windows PowerShell as an administrator and run the following commands one by one:

    sfc /scannow

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Restart your computer after the scans are complete.

Check Group Policy Settings: In some cases, Group Policy settings might impact Quick Access functionality. Check if there are any Group Policy settings that affect File Explorer or Quick Access.

Check for Windows Updates: Make sure you have installed all the latest Windows updates, as they might include fixes for known issues.

Create a New User Profile: If the issue persists, try creating a new user profile and check if Quick Access works for the new user. This can help identify if the problem is specific to your user profile.

Rollback Update: If the issue started after installing the Update Stack Package, consider rolling back the update to see if Quick Access functionality is restored. To do this, go to "Settings" > "Windows Update" > "Update history" > "Uninstall updates," and select the problematic update to uninstall it.

Check for Third-Party Software: Some third-party software or utilities might interfere with File Explorer functionality. Try disabling or uninstalling any recently installed software and check if the issue is resolved.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to consider seeking further assistance from Microsoft support or the Windows 11 community forums, as they may have more specific insights into the particular update and its potential impact on Quick Access functionality.
