My USB drive encrypted with Bitlocker, was working fine (for +/- 2 years) until I caught issues such as the USB drive disappearing after 5 seconds from file explorer before inserting the password. pass

After opening the disk manager / bitlocker management; I had the opportunity to launch the decryption up to +/- 80% and all of a sudden I had the message below and this regardless of the windows--> win11 family 21H2 or win 10 company 21H2

bitlocker encryption is not compatible with your version of windows. try to open the player using a newer version of windows

    Hi @Dany DE CLERCQ

The error message you received indicates that the version of Windows you are using is not compatible with Bitlocker encryption.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check if your USB drive is compatible with Bitlocker encryption. You can check the manufacturer's website or documentation to confirm this.
    2. Check if your version of Windows supports Bitlocker encryption. Please refer to: OEM 的 Windows 10 中的 BitLocker 驱动器加密 | Microsoft Learn
    3. If your version of Windows supports Bitlocker encryption, try updating your Windows to the latest version. This may resolve the compatibility issue.
    4. If updating Windows does not resolve the issue, you can try decrypting the USB drive on a different computer that has a compatible version of Windows.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
