How to locate the Bitlocker key generated for External Drive

Hi Team,

To improve our security the company IT team activated the BitLocker encryption some days ago. The day when it was activated, I had connected to the company´s laptop an external Hard Drive then this external hard drive was also encrypted.

The situation is that today my company IT team is not being able to locate into their systems the Key needed to access the external drive. Currently, they only can locate the laptop key but not the key by Btilocker generated for the external hard drive.

Could you please share with us the steps or instruction that the IT team needs to use or follows into their internal systems to locate the keys that Bitlocker generates for external drive?

    I´m attaching the image when I´m trying to access the external hard drive.
    Related to the measure used by IT, I already ask it to them and as soon I have the info I´ll be adding it here.
