Hi !

I'm a beginner IT tehnician and i have to install a WDS MDT Standalone (no AD) server (with DHCP in the same server)
I was conducting connection sharing tests via NDIS from another interface to my interface used for the DHCP server and WDS (Windows Deployment Services). It didn't work well, so I restarted the server. At this point, my WDS stopped working, and I am unable to boot my client PC from the WDS; it displays the following message:
NBP filename is boot\x64\wdsmgfw.efi
NBP filesize is 0 bytes
PXE-E18: Server response timeout"
And the client computer boot on the disk

I checked on internet for the classic fix, but it didn't work...
Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Pleas kindly try below steps to further troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check if WDS Service is running correctly on your server.
    2. Check DHCP Configuration option 66 and 67 and see if the value is set correctly as WDS Server IP/hostname.
    3. Check network connection by ping command in CMD window and see if it can build TCP connection successfully.

Hope this answer can help you well.

    Best Regards,
    Shujun
