Hello,

does anyone know more about the two credentials which are listed in "Credential Manager/Windows Credentials"?
These are created automatically even if Windows (in this case Win10 22H2) is installed offline with a local user as soon it goes online for the first time.
Both can be deleted, but are automatically created again after a reboot.

According to the web they are used by Microsoft Live software or Edge but no one seems to know for sure.
Does anyone have more insights on the purpose of this two credentials?

Thanks and greetings,
Martin

    Hello,

    virtualapp/didlogical:

    This is related to your Microsoft account, when you sign into your computer using a Microsoft account, this credential helps manage and validate that login. It might be involved in various Microsoft services to ensure you're securely recognized.

    target=SSO_POP_Device:

    This is about Single Sign-On (SSO) and securing the proof that you possess the device you're using.

    Imagine you sign into your Microsoft account once, and then you can seamlessly access other Microsoft services (like Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) without entering your password again. "SSO_POP_Device" helps make sure that it's really you and your device, enhancing security while maintaining convenience.

    I hope this helps!

    Best Regards,
