Hi

Attempting to use Storage Migration to move our File server to Win 2019 from 2008 R2.

WAC installed, and connects to new 2019 server.

Does not connect to Win 2008 R2 server stating "WMF 5 not installed".

Win 2008 R2 is fully up to date with all patches etc, .Net 4.8 is installed, and WMF 5.1 is installed (KB3191566-x64) and Set-WSManQuickConfig has been run but WAC just will not connect. Firewall is off, local admin users used, on same subnet so no firewalls in the way, both VMs on same host.

WMI CIM connections work from 2019 to 2008 R2, using CIM test script that enables RDP.

Any suggestions welcome!

32 bit info is irrelevant as this is Windows Server 2008 R2 which does not have a 32 bit version.

    $PSVersionTable returns 5.1 as expected.

It appears yet another reboot of the WAC server has done something and data is now transferring.

    Hi @Stew4rt ,

    What's the error?

Have you made sure you have no pending updates on your Windows Server 2008 R2 server?

Also make sure you have rebooted both the server and Windows Admin Center (WAC).

Yes 100% there are no outstanding updates and it has been rebooted several times.

Error is as above. "WMF 5 is not installed".
