Trusted sites appears not to work with Office 365

    Hi @Geoff Wilkinson,

You can designate the folder on the NAS as a Trusted Location by going to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings... > Trusted Locations and clicking "Add new location". In the "Microsoft Office Trusted Location" dialog box, enter the path to the folder on the NAS and select "Subfolders of this location are also trusted". Click "OK" to close the dialog box. Check "Allow Trusted Locations on my network (not recommended)" and click "OK" to save.

If the macros don't work still, go to Macro settings and select "Enable all macros(not recommended...)".

I think, this will work for you. I have Office 365, 64bit and Windows 11.

Check "Disable all Trusted Locations" in Access.

Give your NAS a Static IP address within your network. (in my case: 192.168.x.xx)

Search for, or go to Control panel - Internet Options.

Security - Trusted Sites - Sites - Add this website to your Zone - 192.168.x.xx (Enter your static IP) - Add

You can also enter \192.168.x.xx\ Both methods will work.

My Access database works directly with both- Front end and Back end.

You can also try: Internet Options - Local intranet - Sites - Advanced - Add this Website to your Zone - 192.168.x.xx (Enter your static IP) - Add

You can also enter \192.168.x.xx\ Both methods will work.

    Hope, that helps.
