Hi,

I need to block specific updates from the defender. Every time the system updates 3 specific updates, nvidia card is not detected on device manager.

Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.393.2359.0)

Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.393.2288.0)

Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.393.2223.0)

I have tried everything for months and the only way to solve it is by reseting the pc, but windows don't allow me to block automatic updates or uninstall those 3.

    Hi, @jose angel latorre marina

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

To block specific updates from Microsoft Defender Antivirus, you can use the Microsoft tool called "Show or hide updates". This tool allows you to hide specific updates that you don't want to install. Here are the steps to use this tool:

    1. Download the "Show or hide updates" tool from the Microsoft website.
    2. Run the tool and click on "Next".
    3. The tool will scan for available updates. Once the scan is complete, click on "Hide updates".
    4. Select the updates that you want to hide and click on "Next".
    5. The tool will hide the selected updates and prevent them from being installed automatically.

Note that this tool only works for updates that are available through Windows Update. If the updates that you want to block are not available through Windows Update, you may need to use a different method.

    Hello jose angel latorre marina,

How are you deploying Microsoft Defender updates? If it's by SCCM, just remove the three KBs from the related software update package or the deployment.

Otherwise, if you have this issue on a few machines, you can disable at worst the Windows Update service temporarily waiting to have a fix from Microsoft or NVidea (new driver, etc).
