How do I delete a sub-net

I can't find the dependent resources under this subnet

Failed to delete subnet 'abc-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet'. Error: Subnet abc-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet is in use by res-wp-abc/providers/Microsoft.Network/virtualNetworks/abc-cb2fd0d2e2-vnet/subnets/techvolex-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet/serviceAssociationLinks/xx-xx-xx-xx-sal'>abc-cb2fd0d2e2-vnet/abc-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet/xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-sal and cannot be deleted. In order to delete the subnet, delete all the resources within the subnet. See aka.ms/deletesubnet.

The error message you are getting indicates that the subnet you are trying to delete is in use by a service association link. A service association link is a way to associate a subnet with a service, such as Azure SQL Database. This allows the service to access resources in the subnet, such as IP addresses.

In order to delete the subnet, you will need to first delete the service association link. You can do this by following these steps:

Go to the Azure portal and navigate to the subnet.

In the Service association links section, click Delete.

In the confirmation dialog box, click Delete.

Once the service association link has been deleted, you will be able to delete the subnet.

If you are unable to find the service association link in the Azure portal, you can use the Azure CLI to delete it. The following command will delete the service association link for the subnet named abc-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet:

az network service-association-link delete --resource-group my-resource-group --name xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-sal

Once the service association link has been deleted, you can delete the subnet using the following command:

az network subnet delete --resource-group my-resource-group --name abc-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet

Sorry, I couldn't find anything named: service association link. An screenshot would be helpful

Later, I tried to delete it using a command:

az network subnet delete --resource-group my-resource-group --name abc-cd34d1b68c-dbsubnet

And I got this:

'subnet' is misspelled or not recognized by the system.

The command you gave me didn't work. Later I ran another command: az network vnet subnet delete with necessary params, but I'm getting the same error. The blocking resources is nowhere to be found.

This happens when a VNET Integrated resource gets deleted before removing the VNET Integration.

In your case, it appears to be a "Microsoft.DBforMySQL/flexibleServers"

To delete this SAL (Service Association Link) from the backend, we will need a specialized 1:1 session, where a support engineer can have a screen share session.

If you have a support plan you may file a support ticket, else please do let us know, we will try and help you get a one-time free technical support.

This happens when a VNET Integrated resource gets deleted before removing the VNET Integration.

In your case, it appears to be a "Microsoft.DBforMySQL/flexibleServers"

We connected offline and a Support Engineer was able to delete the SAL post which you should be able to delete the subnet.
