How to remove "Sign-in options" from the Power Button menu?

In preparing to move to Windows 11 at my company, I'm reviewing settings for customization. For our virtual systems, we hide the Shutdown command. We have been doing this for many years for Windows 10 via a registry key pushed using group policy.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\Start\HideShutDown and change the value called 'value' to 1.

Windows 11 22H2 has added "Sign-in options" to the Power Button menu. I want to hide this option on the Power Button menu. Yet, I have spent more than an hour searching the web on how to remove this option from the Power Button menu. I see other people have asked the same question on the Internet with the same frustration.

Does anyone know a method (a registry key?) for removing "Sign-in options" from the Power Button menu?

Note: I'm currently testing with Windows 11 22H2 Pro for Workstations, but deployment will be with Windows 11 22H2 Enterprise. I'm assuming this "Sign-in options" is part of all editions of Windows 11.

    Hello there,

If you want to limit access to certain sign-in options from the Power Button menu, you might consider adjusting the settings related to these options instead of removing them entirely. Here's what you can do:

    Disable Specific Sign-in Options:

Open the Windows Settings by pressing Win + I.

Go to "Accounts" and then select "Sign-in options" from the left sidebar.

Depending on the options you want to disable (e.g., PIN, fingerprint, facial recognition), you can set up a Group Policy or local policy to prevent users from adding or using those sign-in options.

Group Policy (Windows Pro and Enterprise editions):

Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter to open the Group Policy Editor.

Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon.

Look for policies related to the sign-in options you want to manage. For example, you might find settings for "Turn off PIN sign-in" or "Turn off ****** recognition and enhanced sign-in."

Enable the policies you want to apply.

I used AI provided by ChatGPT to formulate part of this response. I have verified that the information is accurate before sharing it with you.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
