System info:

Device             Lenovo Yoga C930-131KB

Product number: 81C40007US

Bios version:  8GCN37WW (update installed 12/13/2021)

Processor        Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz   1.99 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

Storage Samsung: MZVLB1T0HAR-000L2  284.44GB/ 953.87GB used

Physical memory DDR4:  5.12GB/15.84 used

OS Name:                   Microsoft Windows 11 Home

OS Version:                10.0.22621 N/A Build 22621

Since 7/11/23 when my computer did following updates: 2023-07 cumulative update.net frame work 3.5 and 4.8.1 for windows 11 (KB50228851) and 2023-07 cumulative update windows 11 22H2 for x64 systems (KB5028185) have had issues with wifi connecting slowly and Outlook (office 2021) abruptly shutting down. Then about 2 weeks ago started getting intermittent BSOD. I thought it was something to do with the wifi adaptor so I following commands and also rebooted modem/rooter

Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.

Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.

Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.

Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.

Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter

Was initially better for a day or two then went back to same behavior.

I then thought that maybe it was do to Office 2021 because most the times the crashes occurred I was trying to open outlook or rarely work. So first I checked for updates (none0 then did a reinstall, no change in behavior.

Then did 1. SFC / scannow

  1. CHKDSK /F /R /X
  2. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Everything was fine. So then I looked at minidump file and that showed

The wifi is still coming up slow but no blue screen of death.
The “my computer-red arrow” problem in component service was present when I booted but I disabled the “ Dolby DAX API Service is used by Dolby DAX applications to control Dolby Atmos components in the system.” In the services and this fixed that issue
I tried  to do start up repair but computer went into an endless loop and I had to keep entering bitlocker key. I finally would get a message "automatic repair could repair pc go to advanced options to try another method to repair PC. So I did and try using CMD and entered SFC/scannow again and it found and repaired a corrupted component, but when I rebooted the computer went into startup repair mode again, and then I got the same message After going through this multiple times, finally I went back to restore point from 7/2/23, which the computer showed it restored successfully. But that was untrue and the cis tray would not load and other than the mouse working nothing responded on the computer. I tried control alt delete no luck. Waited 30minutes nothing, so did a hard boot off, and te computer when it booted went back to start up repair and entered the same loop as before. I then tried to do a Fresh install/reset PC.   I choose to use the cloud download because I assumed the system was corrupt, but got an error message stating unable to download, then tried local re-install and it initially looked like it was going to do it, but the computer went re back to startup repair. Finally I tried going back to the restore point that was just created and got the computer to come back up. However, still having ia delay with the wifi when the computer boots, and many Microsoft apps are not working correctly: Troubleshooter when tried to use get error message : Unable to open most troubleshooters states The file does not have an app associated with it for performing this function. Please install an app, or if one installed, create an association in the default app settings page, “help” in troubleshooter does not go to website, Power options: only have balanced option, in component service my computer- has red arrow” which is supposedly related to Doby DAX API Service and when I disable it , this fixes the red arrow issue and I can right click on my computer to see properties etc. Also windows is not recognizing that I have McAfee for antivirus or thinks the program is out of date but it updates automatically. In event viewer I get the following error messages: McAfee Event viewer recurrent errors:
Kernel tracing event: event ID 2 Session "McAfee {E5DAA68A-A82F-4898-86B7-DC8F75977C84}" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035

I was going to do a clean install using media creation tool and USB bootable drive, but it seems like when I was in the prior automatic bootup repair and  reset that the computer was unable to do these functions so I’m afraid to try to do a clean install, because I am uncertain if I’m be able to or if I have to repair something first prior to doing a clean install.   I just don’t know what happen to the computer after the July 11, 2023 updates can any one make heads or tails of the situation?

    Hello,

It looks like you've encountered a complex issue involving blue screen errors, application crashes, and various system warnings on your Lenovo Yoga C930-131KB laptop running Windows 11. Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the issues are stemming from multiple sources, including hardware, drivers, and software conflicts. Here are some steps you can consider to address the issues:

    Wireless Driver Issues:

The error messages and the BSOD you've mentioned seem to be related to the "Netwtw08.sys" driver, which is associated with the Intel Wireless-AC 9260 adapter. Despite the driver being up-to-date, it might still be causing conflicts. You could try uninstalling the driver completely, rebooting the system, and then letting Windows automatically install the driver again. Additionally, check Intel's official website for any updated drivers or troubleshooting guides specific to your wireless adapter model.

    System File Corruption:

You've performed SFC (System File Checker) scans, but if there are still issues, it might be worth performing a more comprehensive repair using the Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool (DISM). Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

After it completes, run the SFC scan again to check for any remaining issues.

    Hardware Diagnostics:

Given the recurring hardware-related errors in your event logs, it might be a good idea to run hardware diagnostics on your system. Lenovo often provides diagnostics tools for their laptops that you can access during startup. These tools can help identify if there's any underlying hardware issue.

    Check for BIOS Updates:

Ensure that your laptop's BIOS is up to date. BIOS updates can sometimes address compatibility issues and provide improved stability.

    Clean Boot:

Perform a clean boot to troubleshoot any software conflicts. This involves starting Windows with a minimal set of startup programs and services to identify whether any third-party software is causing the issues.

    Driver Verifier:

You can use Driver Verifier to identify problematic drivers that might be causing BSOD errors. Use it with caution, as it can trigger crashes, but it can help identify the culprit.

    System Restore or Reset:

If the issues persist and you're unable to pinpoint the cause, consider using Windows' System Restore feature to revert your system to a point before the updates were installed. Alternatively, you can try performing a system reset, which will reinstall Windows while keeping your personal files intact.

    Contact Lenovo Support:

If the issues persist despite your troubleshooting efforts, consider reaching out to Lenovo's customer support or a professional technician who can assist you in diagnosing and fixing the problem.

    Backup Important Data:

Before attempting any major troubleshooting steps, it's recommended to back up your important files and data to an external drive or cloud storage.

Remember that troubleshooting complex issues can sometimes be time-consuming, and it's a good idea to approach each step carefully and methodically. If you're not comfortable with performing certain steps, consider seeking assistance from a professional or someone experienced in troubleshooting computer issues.

Did a clean install of windows 11, on 9/3/23, ever thing was ok for 2 weeks then started with BSOD again.

    BSOD errors :Memory Management

      System_service_exception

    Critical_process_Died   multiple times

    KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

in event viewer I get this message multiple times:

Faulting application name: DllHost.exe, version: 10.0.22621.1, time stamp: 0x05e70ed3

Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.22621.2215, time stamp: 0x7a9f67f2

    Exception code: 0xc0000005

    all drivers up to date,

Ran driver verifier.exe shows “no unsigned drivers have been found”.

SFC scan now and DISM no corruption, only programs on computer are lenovo, microsoft, Office, Nitropro13, and Turbotax .

Memory, and system checks also show no issues.

    Any ideas
