Hello lajollasun,
Thank you for your question and for reaching out with your question today.
It seems like you've encountered a complex and multifaceted issue after the July 11, 2023 updates on your Windows 11 system. Given the breadth and depth of the problems you're facing, here are some steps and suggestions that might help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issues:
1. **Check for Hardware Issues:**
- Some of the errors you've mentioned, such as hardware-related errors, might indicate potential issues with your computer's hardware components. It could be worthwhile to run hardware diagnostics, such as the built-in Windows Memory Diagnostic and other manufacturer-specific diagnostics, to ensure that your hardware is functioning correctly.
2. **Update Drivers:**
- Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause a wide range of issues. Ensure that your drivers, especially those related to your Intel Wireless-AC 9260 and other critical components, are up to date. Visit Lenovo's support website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific laptop model.
3. **Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates:**
- Sometimes, firmware updates (BIOS/UEFI) can address compatibility and stability issues. Check Lenovo's website for any available BIOS/UEFI updates for your laptop model.
4. **Address Blue Screen Errors (BSODs):**
- The DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATIONS (ce) error could be related to a problematic driver. Since you've mentioned Intel Wireless-AC 9260, try uninstalling its driver, rebooting, and then reinstalling it.
5. **Intel Wireless-AC 9260 Issues:**
- You mentioned issues with the Intel wireless card and its associated errors. You could try disabling or uninstalling this driver temporarily to see if it affects system stability. If the system becomes stable without it, you might want to contact Intel support or Lenovo support for guidance on troubleshooting or replacing the wireless card.
6. **System File Check and DISM:**
- Running System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Imaging Servicing and Management (DISM) scans can help repair corrupted system files. You've already mentioned running these scans, but it might be worth doing them again after ensuring you have the latest updates and patches.
7. **Review Third-Party Software:**
- The issues you've described might also be caused by third-party software conflicts. Some of the problems you're encountering might be linked to McAfee. Try temporarily disabling or uninstalling McAfee to see if it affects system behavior.
8. **Consider a Clean Install:**
- If the problems persist and troubleshooting becomes overwhelming, you might consider performing a clean install of Windows 11 using the Media Creation Tool and a USB bootable drive. However, ensure you have proper backups of your data before attempting this.
9. **Contact Support:**
- Given the complexity of the issues and the fact that they involve hardware, software, and updates, reaching out to both Lenovo and Microsoft support might be a good idea. They could provide more specific guidance based on your system's configuration and the symptoms you're experiencing.
10. **Document and Gather Information:**
- Keep detailed notes about the steps you've taken, error messages, and any patterns you observe. This information will be useful if you need to seek assistance from support forums or directly from Lenovo and Microsoft support teams.
Remember that issues involving blue screen errors, hardware problems, and complex software interactions can be challenging to diagnose and resolve. Be patient, and methodically work through the troubleshooting steps while keeping data safety in mind. If necessary, enlist the help of experienced professionals or technical support to assist you further.

OS Version: 10.0.22621 N/A Build 22621
Since 7/11/23 when my computer did following updates: 2023-07 cumulative update.net frame work 3.5 and 4.8.1 for windows 11 (KB50228851) and 2023-07 cumulative update windows 11 22H2 for x64 systems (KB5028185) have had issues with wifi connecting slowly and Outlook (office 2021) abruptly shutting down. Then about 2 weeks ago started getting intermittent BSOD. I thought it was something to do with the wifi adaptor so I following commands and also rebooted modem/rooter
Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter
Was initially better for a day or two then went back to same behavior.
I then thought that maybe it was do to Office 2021 because most the times the crashes occurred I was trying to open outlook or rarely work. So first I checked for updates (none0 then did a reinstall, no change in behavior.
Then did 1. SFC / scannow
2. CHKDSK /F /R /X
3. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Everything was fine. So then I looked at minidump file and that showed

Currently a bunch of ancillary window functions are not working correctly: Troubleshooter, Power Options, help button,
The wifi is still coming up slow but no blue screen of death.
The “my computer-red arrow” problem in component service was present when I booted but I disabled the “ Dolby DAX API Service is used by Dolby DAX applications to control Dolby Atmos components in the system.” In the services and this fixed that issue
I tried to do start up repair but computer went into an endless loop and I had to keep entering bitlocker key. I finally would get a message "automatic repair could repair pc go to advanced options to try another method to repair PC. So I did and try using CMD and entered SFC/scannow again and it found and repaired a corrupted component, but when I rebooted the computer went into startup repair mode again, and then I got the same message After going through this multiple times, finally I went back to restore point from 7/2/23, which the computer showed it restored successfully. But that was untrue and the cis tray would not load and other than the mouse working nothing responded on the computer. I tried control alt delete no luck. Waited 30minutes nothing, so did a hard boot off, and te computer when it booted went back to start up repair and entered the same loop as before. I then tried to do a Fresh install/reset PC. I choose to use the cloud download because I assumed the system was corrupt, but got an error message stating unable to download, then tried local re-install and it initially looked like it was going to do it, but the computer went re back to startup repair. Finally I tried going back to the restore point that was just created and got the computer to come back up. However, still having ia delay with the wifi when the computer boots, and many Microsoft apps are not working correctly: Troubleshooter when tried to use get error message : Unable to open most troubleshooters states The file does not have an app associated with it for performing this function. Please install an app, or if one installed, create an association in the default app settings page, “help” in troubleshooter does not go to website, Power options: only have balanced option, in component service my computer- has red arrow” which is supposedly related to Doby DAX API Service and when I disable it , this fixes the red arrow issue and I can right click on my computer to see properties etc. Also windows is not recognizing that I have McAfee for antivirus or thinks the program is out of date but it updates automatically. In event viewer I get the following error messages: McAfee Event viewer recurrent errors:
Kernel tracing event: event ID 2 Session "McAfee {E5DAA68A-A82F-4898-86B7-DC8F75977C84}" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035
Kernel tracing event: event ID 2 Session "McAfee {7AD61B26-D751-487E-B557-6926A5582DDB}" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035. I was going to do a clean install using media creation tool and USB bootable drive, but it seems like when I was in the prior automatic bootup repair and reset that the computer was unable to do these functions so I’m afraid to try to do a clean install, because I am uncertain if I’m be able to or if I have to repair something first prior to doing a clean install. I just don’t know what happen to the computer after the July 11, 2023 updates can any one make heads or tails of the situation?

2023-08-10T04:04:37.87+00:00 Thanks so very much for the response. I realize based on the error reports the computer seems to have a bunch of issues; however, the computer overall is running “mostly” as it should and I have not gotten a blue screen error since 8/6/23. On that date the event viewer shows critical system event ID # 41. “ The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. However, the event view also shows “ Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.” (event ID 161 source volmgr) so no dump file was created.
I did do as you suggested:
1. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic. The program works, but doesn’t behave as it does on my other computers. When you run the program the program starts upon reboot and you see the “progress page”; however, there is absolutely no actively that you can see. But after waiting 20-60 minutes program finishes and then goes directly to home screen, or when I ran the program yesterday, immediately after it completed the computer wanted to reboot to install the latest Netframe windows 11 22H2 (KB5028948) and cumulative updates (KB5028254). (Neither of those update were available Monday night because I specifically checked for updates). Via the event viewer there was one an installation failure with the updates: “Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80240016: Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.393.2605.0).” However, when I open windows security, it shows it was updated 8-8-23 and on the windows update history it also shows it was successfully installed. I have McAfee total protection installed on the laptop, but I also have security intelligence/Microsoft defender turn on to periodically scan for any issue because Windows recommends this and supposedly the two programs do not conflict.
At the present time, Windows OS under virus/threat protection section is now recognizing I have McAfee installed, that it is my default anti-virus program, and its up to date. However, I frequently get notifications from windows that my anti-virus is out of date and/or turned off and its not.
In regards to the results of the Anyway when I go to the Windows Memory diagnostic app in the event viewer it shows it detected no errors. But during the same time frame the memory app was running, the event viewer shows the following warning: Event ID 10016 The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{6B3B8D23-FA8D-40B9-8DBD-B950333E2C52} and APPID {4839DDB7-58C2-48F5-8283-E1D1807D0D7D} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. When I looked up this error, Microsoft says the above error don't adversely affect functionality and modifying the permissions can have unintended side effects. Therefore I am uncertain I need to worry about this error.
I also ran Lenovo Harward diagnostic app and there were no problems identified in audio controller, battery, blue tooth, CPU, display, keyboard, physical memory, mother board, PCI express, Raid sensors, storage, videocard, wireless ethernet. Lenovo device/driver check also show all drivers and bios up to date.
When I look at device health it shows no issues with storage issues, app/software, battery life, windows time services. Core isolation, security processor, secure boot, data encryption are all green.
In regards to the “core isolation” around April of this year I was getting a core isolation error showing I had an incompatible driver and when I looked up which driver it was, it was one small component of Acronis 2017 True Image (tib.sys driver 10.0.1192 Acronis TIB explorer) that is basically bloatware installed with program that allows users to “Try 'N Decide” various other programs that want to sell you. You cannot uninstall the driver itself, its integrated within the download, but when I went on an Acronis blog some users who had the same problem said that the issue with core isolation could be resolved by simply renaming the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\tib.sys to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\tib.~sys and rebooting the computer. I did this and the core isolation worked and I didn’t have any computer issues until a few months later with the windows update on 7/11/23.
PS I didn’t muck with the registry, nor have I ever changed anything in the registry and this is the only file I have ever changed in system32 or any other system folder. They said that the file can probably be deleted but by renaming it, the driver is still there in case you need to change the name back if something doesn’t work when you change the name.
I did call/chat with Lenovo but I might as well chat with a bot and got nowhere.
My laptop Yoga 930 was manufactured in 2019 and came with Windows 10. I upgraded to Windows 11 Oct 2022 after getting a Windows notification telling me my device was ready.
Lenovo has one BIOS update after I bought the laptop, and I installed it 11/23/2020 (BIOS Version/Date LENOVO 8GCN37WW). There are no newer BIOS on the website and the BIOS information on the website states “This package provides BIOS Update and is supported on Yoga C930-13IKB, and running the following Operating Systems: Windows 10 (64-bit)”. Lenovo said they do not have a more current BIOS for Windows 11 mor do they plan on releasing on. The Lenovo tech said that I should just use Lenovo recover USB (return computer back to factor default and wipe computer clean, but the factory default has drivers that are 4 years old and its windows 10). Also several people on the Lenovo have commented that they were having various issues with their Yoga930 systems, and attempted to reinstall the BIOS, but it caused all sorts of problems with windows 11. They also said when they tried to do a fresh install with using Lenovo recover USB (factor default with programs that are 4 years old) and/or try to reinstall Windows 11 after doing a BIOS update that Windows 11 does not install correctly so I did not want to reinstall my Bios or do a fresh install either using Window’s or Lenovo’s recovery drive. Lenovo has a “driver checker” on the website specific to your device, and its does a quick scan to determine what drivers require an update and I shows all my drivers are “up to date” but I believe the scan basically just check to see if the factory drivers are installed and not whether there are newer drivers at the manufacturer’s website. I also went through all the drivers in device manager and all show that I have the best driver available. I am uncertain if it matters whether I need to install drivers that specifically designed to run on windows 11, or whether all the drivers on the Lenovo website for my device which run on windows 10 are fine. Therefore, I have not updated any drivers from the manufacturer’s website as of yet.
The primary problems I have now is my wifi doesn’t always connect immediately and this appears to be either related to either Intel Wireless-AC 9260 driver and/or DCOM and possibly interference of DCOM and Dolby DAX API services because when I disabled the later in services most te wi-fi issues resolved.
I have not yet tried to uninstall Intel Wireless-AC 9260 via device manger and rebooting and hoping the windows finds the correct driver because I was uncertain if I would be able to even connect to the wifi without a driver and if windows would find the correct one. Would I need to be connected directly to the modem if I uninstalled the wirelessdriver and attempted to install a new one?
The majority of system errors in the Event viewer seem to be related to DCOM, service control manager and occasionally NDIS with event 10010 and 10001 far most common :

Can I use the bootable USB I created with windows installation media or create a disk image/ISO file to use with DISM command to repair my current window 11 image using this recovery image to repair/replace any corrupted files (i.e using DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:E:\Sources\install.wim) verses DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth). The reason I ask is that when I run the later it tells me nothing needs to be repaired, but obviously there are some persistent issues.
