telnet to 220 smtp.office365.com ESMTP ready. 587 works
Can not get smtp 587 to work for scan to email
Tried everything I can think of. Starting to think it's a cert issue or something.
This is happening on HP printers and a new copier we have.
smtp.office365.com is what we are using.
The email address has SMTP on in the app settings. Have had like 3 people look at this. Nobody can figure it out. We do not use MFA currently. I just got here at this job and MFA is on my list of things to do

Thanks for posting in our Q&A forum.
According to my research, one possible cause of the error is that your devices are using TLS 1.0/1.1 for SMTP authentication, which is no longer supported by Office 365. You may need to update the firmware on your devices or change the configuration settings to use TLS 1.2 or above.
