I am having some issue with the sample OIDC application that microsoft provided. My objective to set this up, as I am not a developer myself, is to ensure that our B2C as a platform can register and allow the user access without any registration. Just to authenticate the user as my B2C users are configured to come from other iDP.

This is the JSON file I modified with Visual Studio.
I am only interested for now with the SignUpSignInPolicyID.
And this is what I wanted to achieve for external users.

Thanks for reaching out and bringing this up.
I repro the sample application at my end and got the same error.
I have raised the issue https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs/issues/113510 to content author to update the document with correct details.
I am working on the application to find the issue and will revert you on this.
