Is there a way to see a list of banned / inappropriate words or topics on Speech to text?

Or is there a way to disable some or all banned / inappropriate words? which are currently returned as " * ", instead of that word.

Hello @danielllll32 , Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Yes, you can try something similar by specifying whether to mask, remove, or show profanity in the final transcribed text. Generally, masking replaces profane words with asterisk (*) characters so that you can keep the original sentiment of your text while making it more appropriate for certain situations.

The profanity filter options are: Masked, Raw, and Removed. You can set the profanity filter to any of these options based on your requirement.

Please read this documentation for more information. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/speech-service/display-text-format?pivots=programming-language-python#profanity-filter

Is this something you are looking help for?

    Regards,
    Vasavi
